ELS provides quality environmental engineering services for our clients throughout the Southeastern United States. With hundreds of remediation strategies implemented, ELS has proven to be a remediation leader since 1991.
Our engineering staff has the knowledge and credentials to produce cost-effective feasibility evaluations and engineering designs. Strategies are based on contamination assessment results, site-specific conditions, access restrictions, and owner operational requirements. This approach results in the implementation of individualized and cost-effective remedial designs.
ELS employs conventional remedial strategies such as air sparging, soil vapor extraction, and multi-phase extraction, but also has expertise in implementing innovative technologies. Source area remediation strategies are a strength of ELS. In addition to traditional excavations, we are experienced in the design and implementation of Large Diameter Auger (LDA) excavations, as well as source removals using sheet piling, pin piling, H-beam and board, and other soil retaining techniques. All remediation projects are designed keeping worker safety and resource protection at the forefront.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS
In today’s environment, ELS continues to push toward implementing green practices and sustainable solutions into every remediation strategy. We are committed to minimizing the consumption of our natural resources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. We have therefore implemented a corporate initiative to cost-effectively design, build, and implement a soil and groundwater remediation system powered exclusively by solar and/or wind energy.
ELS pioneered a unique method of site cleanup, termed episodic remediation. Using mobile equipment, ELS can perform site remediation while reducing electrical power consumption costs by more than 75 percent as compared to traditional, fixed-base remediation systems.
